Pfizer Talent Acquisition Lead ANZ in West Ryde, Australia

The role is reporting to the Regional TA Lead.

The Country TA lead is responsible for Country recruitment Strategy aligning with country business needs as well as for the sourcing of high quality, diverse, qualified candidates for Pfizer corporation in particular country of his/her responsibility and for all related recruitment processes, rules, tools and procedures in place to support best in class quality recruitment process.

The Country TA Lead will manage a team of Talent acquisition Recruiters and Administrative resources (plus contract resources as required) aligned to support the GTA model country.

She/he will be responsible for all legal and compliance adherence in their client area.

This role will also have responsibility for developing country Employee Value Proposition for Pfizer aligned with global strategy and tools to ensure a consistent and relevant message for all activities.

Will be considered as a trusted advisor, as she/he works closely with Hiring Managers and HR to ensure that the hiring process is consistent with the business goals. The successful candidate should be able to create Talent Pipelines by proactively creating strategic sourcing techniques and able to manage multiple project simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with local leaders within the businesses and local HR supporting those leadership teams, they will build a talent acquisition strategy to deliver the resources required by the business across all BUs in the country.

  • Having direct responsibility for the TA team and activities

  • Providing management direction to the country TA team, building their business expertise and knowledge to deliver the business requirements

  • Develop a specific local Employee Value Proposition for their business that is aligned to the global Pfizer EVP

  • Develop a strong relationship with the clients and maintain close and regular contact with the client to ensure continued alignment and monitor progress to plan.

  • Identify talent acquisition issues and develop corrective action plans quickly and communicate transparently with the business and HR clients.

  • Build a resourcing strategy and plan that prioritizes the resourcing needs and deploy TA resources with the skills and capabilities required to deliver that plan.

  • Responsible for the continued development of the team and management of the budget.

  • Continually improve the effectiveness of the team and its delivery against plan - ensuring we deploy technology and process improvements continually to reduce costs, improve the quality and decreases time to hire.

  • Lead senior level hiring activity for managerial roles

  • Identifying the most appropriate use of University recruitment to the business.

  • Develop metrics that support the local business objectives and maintain close monitoring and reporting for the purposes of TA improvements.

  • Continually seek to share best practice across the TA function and share resources to achieve the goals of the wider business as needed.

  • Where requirements of the business go beyond the agreed levels, provide the business with costed options for the business to provide additional funding.

  • Allocate of work within the team including when to use direct sourcing or external search organizations and building a network of external agencies to provide cost effective and efficient support to the business.

  • Develop a culture of ownership and accountability with a high emphasis on Client and candidate satisfaction

  • Lead/Participate in projects across the global TA organization

  • Implementation of new-modern tools in TA function as per global plan and local market requirements aligned with business and HR strategies.

  • Effectively integrate diversity into the staffing process to ensure diverse candidate slates.

Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience):

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Human Resource, Business, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, including 3 years of recruiting

  • People management experience is an advantage

  • Fully English, local language required in certain markets.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment process activities like selection techniques, direct sourcing and diversity recruiting as well as knowledge of other HR processes interconnected like compensation scales , WC or Union consulting, local labour regulations etc.

  • Excellent consultative, strategic thinking, problem solving and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders

  • In depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is desired

  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at a time

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A good understanding of technology and innovative solutions within the TA environment
