Financial Council, Operational Support & Business Guidance
Ensure a solid understanding of the products supported, including main characteristics, manufacturing processes, supply chain flows and cost structure.
Ensure a solid financial and operational understanding of the Contract Manufacturers within the assigned product portfolio.
Lead the APAC inventory management and reporting. The key focus areas include inventory counts, identification and risk mitigation of distressed inventory with the adoption of data and predictive analytics. As part of the wider PGS community focusing on inventory write-offs reduction, this position will work with GES Operational Excellence Director to update the VSLT on the best practices among the other PGS sites and propose recommendations for adoption.
Represent Finance at ES GES APAC operations meetings. This position analyses the vendor's financial performance and propose improvement plans to meet the organization's current budget target and long range plans.
Represent Finance at Cost Improvement Projects review meetings. The position will drive focus on cost project savings and measure the impact of lost savings due to project delays. The position will assist in project investments evaluation.
Evaluate and make proposal for the financial and physical supply chain flow of transferred products for respective legal entities hosting the operation.
Actuals & Forecast - Budget, Latest Estimates & Long Range Plan
Collate and verify the financial inputs required for budgets, forecasts and long range plans for the assigned product portfolio. Communicate key variances and issues to Operations Director. Support the Operations Director and virtual site operations team in the review and finalization of their budget and forecasts.
Follow up and provide closure of the action items arising from the monthly financial review.
Ensure timely resolution to any financial sensitivities and open financial matters.
Partner GSC in ensuring prompt resolution of any intercompany purchase price variance and product profitability review to facilitate an accurate intercompany profitability true up adjustment for statutory financial statements and corporate tax filing.
Systems & Internal Controls
Ensure adherence to financial terms on Licensing, Manufacturing and Supply Agreements. Provide advice on financial terms for contracts to ensure consistency, process optimization and standardization for efficiency.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures and serve as key contact for corporate internal audits and KPMG statutory audits.
Partner operations and extended finance organizations e.g. Corporate Treasury, GFS and APAC COE on continuous improvement projects and Zero-Defect initiatives.
Train colleagues and improve their understanding of the financials and compliance matters.
Provide backup for finance colleagues and ensure business continuity of the finance operations.
Degree in Accountancy or Business, ACCA or CPA.
APICS - Certified Supply Chain Professional preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of finance experience with at least 5 years of post ACCA or CPA qualification experience in mid-size to global enterprise.
Prior experience in managing teams.
Experience in Singapore Statutory Accounting, US GAAP and Corporate Tax Reporting.
Business Analytics & Reporting certification or strong MS Excel capabilities.
Strong ERP knowledge i.e. SAP
Audit experience with Big 4 a plus
