Pfizer VP, Product Management Lead in New York City, New York

Lead a team of product managers responsible for the vision, strategy, design, and roadmap of products which will provide a consistent and delightful experience for external customers including patients, healthcare professionals, payers, other external stakeholders as well as internal customer segments. The product management team will also be responsible for managing the lifecycle of the product to continuously advance and evolve internal and external customer experiences based on the changing needs of each customer segment. Each product is comprised of an integrated set of digital, technology, data and/or analytics solutions (capabilities, services, apps, and/or platforms).

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead definition of the product vision and strategy based on customer input/requirements, competitive intelligence, trends, business objectives and input from appropriate Digital and Technology groups.

  • Define the product and required solution functions, customer value and experiences, goals and metrics, and prioritized product and solution features based on customer input

  • Lead creation of product roadmaps (including solution set) and business case.

  • Prepare annual budget (capex, opex) with input from appropriate Digital and Technology groups and other internal stakeholders.

  • Partner with solution development teams on individual solution roadmaps.

  • Responsible for the end to end management of a product including directing multiple matrixed teams accountable for project management, engineering, deployment, operations and support.

  • Oversee launch and release planning and management.; track metrics and manage product lifecycle

  • Partners with customers and key internal division/function stakeholders, and Digital and Technology teams to ensure that the solution fulfills the vision as defined.

  • Lead naming, branding. Positioning and messaging; lead creation of marketing materials.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and Master Degree preferred

  • 15+ years of significant experience in Business Technology and Pharmaceutical industry

  • Product management experience and experience leading product managers

  • Overall knowledge of the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical markets globally. Has a broad knowledge of the key factors that influence the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industry.

  • Ability to articulate the strategic use of digital, analytics/insights and technology to address external (patient, healthcare provider, payer) and internal customer needs and experiences

  • Program management experience and proven track record of delivering digital, technology and analytics products/solutions for external and internal customers on time and on budget.

  • Strong financial and budget acumen.

  • Agile/Lean Development knowledge, training or experience.

  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience in bringing together cross functional teams to deliver complex digital, technology, analytics products. Strengths in problem solving and issue-resolution.

  • Excellent presentation and communications skills; ability to quickly gain credibility with senior management

  • Collaborate and navigate in a heavily matrixed environment

  • Ability to synthesize many ongoing complex requests to prioritize requirements, functions and features for greatest customer value.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree in computer science, analytics, marketing or related fields.

  • Significant experience developing and delivering digital, analytics and technology solutions in the healthcare industry

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

U.S. and international travel 20%.
