Pfizer Carpuject Process Technologist in McPherson, Kansas

Summary:

The Process Technologist will function as a member of an IMEx Process Centric Team (PCT) to provide technical expertise & operational support. The role owns & facilitates the IMEx ecosystem element accountable for the equipment/asset care processes. The role will leverage coaching and training of operators & technicians to enhance equipment understanding, perform effective root cause analysis, and drive equipment performance improvements. The role partners with other PCT members, shop floor colleagues, and supervision to enhance equipment understanding towards a consistent and efficient operation. Responsibilities or influence may extend to additional IMEx PCTs.

Responsibilities:

Successful candidate will have primary responsibility and act as the PCT Process Technologist for the PGS McPherson's Carpuject manufacturing value stream, with focus upon its aseptic filling equipment.

  • Accountable for effective implementation and sustaining of PCTs Asset Care continuous improvement program

  • Ownership of the maintenance and calibration strategy of equipment

  • Coach and training of operators & technicians in equipment performance and root cause analysis

  • Development of technical and operational standards for optimal equipment set up and running (Center lining , Clean/Inspect /Lubricate)

  • Drives complex defect elimination

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • Previous technical training in science and/or equipment areas preferred.

  • Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience and strong, demonstrated technical skills exhibited in a cGMP environment are requirements.

  • 5 to 7 years experience in aseptic filling equipment operation preferred.

  • Successful candidate has demonstrated coaching skills and effective interpersonal interactions & influencing skills.

  • Specific knowledge of and experience with Drug Product processing and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Six-Sigma methodologies (M1, and/or M2, and/or M3) is preferred.
