Pfizer Upjohn GCO Regional Lead of Korea and ASEAN in Mapletree Business City, Singapore

ROLE SUMMARY

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of 60+ commercial operational services (Meetings & Events, HCP and Patient Engagement, Training, Digital Channel Deployment, Sales and Marketing Services, Pharmacovigilance to include CEP's, CIT's, Social Listening) for Upjohn Business in APAC EM (incl. Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore) and Korea. Accountable for effective and compliant delivery of 60+ services.

  • Enables compliant processes for commercial operations in all assigned geography with central management of CEP/CIT/SL and Commercial Effectiveness at regional level.

  • Manages an extended workforce through vendors and contract resources.

  • Serves as single point of contact to the Regional Commercial Leaders, Senior Commercial Leaders and all Cross Functional Groups.

  • Works with the Global COBA Lead to define and update CO scope / service areas, establish and improve CO service delivery model, manage business demand for CO services, prioritize CO resources and budget/funding/ investments allocation.

  • Responsible for all budget negotiations and funding model decisions for the region.

  • Owns and leads CO service-related Regional processes and technology platforms.

  • Responsible for evaluating the financial and strategic priorities for ALL commercial teams in the region and developing an integrated plan to support these priorities to include strategy, resources and budgeting.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure effective execution of the CO service delivery and global/regional processes, and integration of technology platforms across CO service scope into regions / key markets. Continuously evolve service delivery model as required.

  • Execute across a complex multi-layer organizational matrix and rapidly changing external environment.

  • Accountable for leading the design, development and implementation of strategic initiatives that leverage global resources, processes and technology platforms to enhance value to CO clients while maintaining/reducing cost.

  • Responsible for negotiating the "trade-off" decisions between the Markets and Global COBA Centers of Excellence and operating with a GLOCAL mindset.

  • Build sustainable collaborative working relationships across CO and key enabling functions such as BT, HR, Compliance, Procurement, Finance and foster effective external relationships and influence strategic direction as needed.

  • Effectively partner with Global COBA Centers of Excellence: Sales Force Training, Commercial Quality and Compliance, Customer Engagement Strategy and Solution, Global Business Analytics and Insight.

  • Accountable for design and budget models and funding requests for GCO Budget.

  • Responsible to develop with the GCO Leadership Team on innovative ways to discuss, review, align and finalize budget levels, client needs/priorities.

  • Embedded within Businesses Leaders and serves as single point of contact to senior commercial leaders and cross-functional leaders.

  • Understand Upjohn strategies, business goals, commercial support needs and objectives and how they fit into the Upjohn model. Understand long-range client strategy and ensure CO's model is flexible and scalable to meet future business and GCO needs.

  • Understand global and regional business strategy/needs and context, and be accountable to lead, own, develop and maintain global/regional processes to enhance value to clients while maintaining or reducing overall costs.

  • Responsible for the implementation of Pharmacovigilance continuous improvement regarding Adverse Event Reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA Required; MBA or equivalent Master's level education preferred

  • 15+ years in Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing positions

  • 15+ years of team leadership experience including leading teams

  • Demonstrated strong Business and Financial Acumen in order to support alignment across multiple functions.

  • Demonstrated Conflict Management, Judgment and Managerial Courage which is required to handle negotiations with commercial leaders. Accountable for development of Operating Plan to include Strategy, Structure, Resourcing, Compliance and Financial Models.

  • Extensive experience leading through matrix teams

  • Prior experience leading regional teams with geographically distributed direct reports

  • Experience in building new teams aligned around complex new business needs

  • Proven track record in organizing and driving complex global projects

  • Ability to synthesize a significant amount of diverse information to build a compelling, data driven investment case or an executive briefing

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead high performing teams with very diverse cultures and backgrounds

  • Working knowledge of bio pharma sector trends, Regional and Market healthcare dynamics and economics, customer landscape, and competitor trends and actions.
