Pfizer Commercial Distribution Director East 2 / in Hangzhou, China

Job Summary:

The Commercial Distribution Director is responsible for the development and execution of Pfizer's channel and distribution strategy. He/she will be responsible for managing distributors, leading market access by understanding national medical policy and setting up platform for cross-team communication and cooperation. He/she will be responsible for determining and achieving team goals, strategy, and development plans to form a highly efficient and committing team by optimizing organization structure, encouraging communication, building team culture and constructing platform for talent education and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for company TTD target achievement by ensuring smooth distribution channel and meeting DSO and storage target;

  • Set up and implement company distribution policy, maintain competitive advantage of Pfizer products;

  • Formulate bidding strategy based on local government policy and lead bidding work in each responsible region and respond to any policy change/update in bidding and access. Deal with bidding, negotiation, procurement, new product promotion to distributors and other access related issues to ensure the accessibility of Pfizer products in hospital;

  • Manage the second negotiation work with local government by cross-function cooperation to ensure effective market access.

  • Lead and drive distribution project implementation, provide feedback and revise suggestions based on actual market environment.

  • Deeply cooperate with Provincial Access team to ensure distribution support in any PA projects.

  • Leverage distribution resources in each level to expand retail business channel and growth.

  • Promote cross functional communication externally and internally, construction platforms to ensure an effective and efficient communication system.

  • Discover innovative access model based on market environment.

  • Collect and inspect data to ensure data authenticity and integrity.

  • Talent recruitment and development, team budget control.

  • Regulate team conduct; ensure all operation initiated meet company regulatory requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred;

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in commercial related areas in pharmaceutical industry;

  • Strong ability to anticipate roadblocks well before they occur and take action to ensure they don't arise;

  • Demonstrated strength in managing multiple projects and/or programs and business analysis;

  • Outstanding relationships with channel partners, pharmacy customers and service vendors;

  • In-depth knowledge of managed care and impact on product access as with external partners and vendors;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly visible and dynamic environment is critical; Able to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels;

  • Established contacts and relationships with related stakeholders;

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team-oriented environment;

  • Demonstrated entrepreneurship mindset, accountability, agility, overcoming obstacles and focus on action and implementation in line with OWN IT! Cultural Characteristics;

  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels;
