The Medicine Design group in Groton, CT is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled lipidomics expert to help discover new insights into the function and specificity of solute carrier transporters (SLCs) with a focus on SLCs involved in lipid transport. This is a unique opportunity to participate in a public-private precompetitive partnership, where the primary objective of the RESOLUTE consortium ( https://re-solute.eu/ ), is to create a comprehensive set of long-lasting, well- characterized tools and data packages for the SLC family to enable SLC research and knowledge. Mass spectrometry-based quantification of lipids both inside and outside the cell and in tissues
Mammalian cell culture
Development of competition assays using fluorescent probes
Assessment of data quality
Publication and presentation of findings
PhD in analytical or biological sciences
Lipidomics or metabolomics experience
Cell culture experience
Plate-based assay development
Cross-training of other scientists
Exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
