ROLE SUMMARY

The Director- Evidence Dissemination, will report to the I&I Medical Affairs Capabilities Lead. The incumbent will be a core member of the I&I Medical Capabilities Team. This colleague participates in I&I Medical Affairs Evidence Dissemination, acts as a key adviser to ensure, consistency, efficiency and compliant planning and execution of evidence dissemination activities.

Evidence Dissemination will partner with the TA teams on publications and congress planning and will partner with the Medical Strategy Head, Global and Region Directors, and Publications Management Specialists to plan and execute publication activities.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure development, integration and optimization of data dissemination plans at the portfolio level including abstracts, congress presentations and manuscripts

  • Provide strategic medical and scientific input and day-to-day Data Dissemination related advice to global Therapeutic Area teams

  • Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in inflammation and immunology, including relevant disease states in the therapeutic areas of rheumatology, dermatology and gastroenterology.

  • Lead Pfizer I&I Publications library including vision and development of future phases of the library

  • Develop Pfizer plans for adapting to changing environment of data dissemination

  • Partner with TA teams on the I&I part of enterprise M2M platform and medical-to-medical slide sets, Q&A documents, and scientific narrative.

  • Share best practices around internal communications of new scientific and clinical data across I&I Medical Affairs portfolio

  • Collaborate with Publications Management Team (PMT) specialists to manage publication operations activities with the medical writing agency of record

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Terminal Doctorate degree (PharmD, PhD, or Doctor of Nursing Practice) with 7 or more years of relevant experience required. Expertise or experience in the designated therapeutic area is highly desirable.

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience, with 2+ years' experience in Medical Affairs/Medical Communications/Medical Communications Agency

  • Strong track record of written and oral communication skills to develop and present scientific information to varied audiences and articulate messages succinctly

  • In depth experience within I&I required

  • Understand detailed technical information and convey complex ideas to a variety of audience types and cultures

  • Very strong communications and relationship building capacity

  • Represent a function within a matrix organization through a strong track record of excellent presentation, customer facing, and interpersonal skills

  • Strong strategic mindset, understanding of medical affairs, clinical development, health policy and technology

  • Strong familiarity with building a strong medical strategy plan

  • Effectively operate in a complex internal matrix and external partner relationship(s)

  • Comprehensive understanding of the global health environment and profound knowledge of the relevant and applicable legislation, regulations, Codes of Practice, and guidelines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • In depth understanding of scientific publications with experience as a Pfizer owner and author.

  • Strong familiarity with CT37 and associated publications SOPs

  • Demonstration of leading innovative projects

  • Clinical background a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
