Role Description:

Provide technical support related to the manufacturing plan of record within the realm of cleaning chemistry, disposables, solution expiry, and process improvements within a biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility.


Candidate will work with the group senior leader to execute activities that support the qualification of biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment in the realm of cleaning chemistry, solution expiry, and/or extractables and leachables evaluation. Work includes execution of study plans and protocols in accordance with defined site procedures; performing hands-on laboratory studies; documenting execution of studies to GMP standards; analysis of study results; drafting study summary reports; and collaborating with Pfizer staff on review and approval of summary reports. Work also includes supporting solution expiry evaluations and Extractable and Leachable evaluations as necessary. The position may require investigation and audit support as well as participation in continuous improvement initiatives.


Education and Experience: Candidate must have a BS/MS in engineering, biology, or related sciences (M. S. +2yrs or BS +4yrs experience).

Technical Skills:

Candidate must have experience working in a biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility and have well developed hands on laboratory skills. Candidate should have an understanding of cGMP systems and practices. Candidate must be able to work across functional areas and is required to have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Candidate should have experience with laboratory scale cleaning evaluations and with full scale cleaning equipment (COP washers, Cleaning skids, etc). Candidate should also have recent experience in the use of laboratory instrumentation/equipment and technique, such as: gel electrophoresis; spectrophotometry, aseptic technique, etc. Experience with standard desk top software (i. e. Word & Excel) is also required.
